My name is Andy. I was born in Arizona and grew up in Utah. I went to college in Grand Junction, CO at Mesa State College and studied Environmental Geology and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
While attending college, one summer I received my private pilot licence. I presently have 80.3 hours in small
general aviation aircraft (PIC time is 47.7 hours). Among flying, I have a love and appreciation for scuba diving. My training has been strictly recreational thus far and I'm certified through Advanced Open Water, Nitrox, and Ice Diving through SSI, SSI, and PADI respectfully. I have over 140 dives in places such as Montana, Utah, California, Texas, Arizona, Bonaire, Great Barrier Reef, and Mexico.
My work since graduating college has been mostly geology-related. After graduating, I worked as a wellsite geologist in the natural gas field outside of Vernal, Utah. After two years I couldn't do it anymore due to the long hours and no life outside of work. I moved to Bozeman, Montana where I currently reside. I worked in a pizza place for a year with a great staff and made many good friends. After a year I obtained a job with a geology consultant. I worked on exploration projects for Molybdenum, Gold, and other minerals. Among this time, I was contracted to work at Stillwater Mining Co. and logged core for the only Platinum and Palladium mine operating in the US. I now work for a mudlogging company in California drilling oil wells in one of the oldest still-producing fields in the US.
You may ask where I picked up the name
Harrier Air? I just thought of it one day back when I was a freshmen
in college. :-)
